🛰️ Multi-observer orbit fitting

Spotted something moving and want a real orbit, not just a straight-line guess? Start a campaign, share the link, and pool observations from multiple nights (yours or other observers') into one orbit determination.

Why multiple nights matter: a real orbit can't be pinned down from a single night's arc — the geometry is degenerate no matter how many frames you have from one session. Once a campaign has at least 3 observations spanning more than one night, this runs an actual Gauss-method initial orbit determination (via the orbdtools library) and shows you honestly how well-constrained the result is, not just a confident-looking number.

Anyone with the campaign's link can add an observation — no sign-up. Already tracking something? Browse existing campaigns →
